    Default Happy Hour Haul

I don't say "happy hour" because I was bellied up to the bar, but because I had a great hour or so of hauling in these fat bream after work.

A friend, his little boy and I hit a farm for some post-workday fishing, and caught this stringer. Actually, we caught a good many more than this, but these were the chosen few that got to be released into Lake Crisco later that evening. The best part of the trip was the 5 year old boy getting to bring in his first bream "all by himself." It never gets old seeing that!

Red worms off of overhanging brush by the pond's edge did the trick. We caught a few on small Roadrunners, but worms brought the consistent bite.

    I'm ready to go again!

Sweet baby Jeebus!! I can smell that crisco now.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

Bluegill, shellcrackers, worms, and boys go together. Brings out the boy in those of us who are starting to see a gray hair or two. Glad you had a good day. A great way to get a young one started.
