Default White perch in the Chowan River

Well I'm heading back home to the Chowan River (NC) this week. I'm gonna try the white perch (Morone americana). My folks tell me they are biting. I haven't fished for them in a while and would like to know what folks catch them on nowadays. I have caught them aplenty on a small white Beetle Spin (white grub and red spot).

I`ve been told a beetle spin with a "pinch " of shrimp tears them up ...........
All I`ve caught were with night crawlers under a bobber, haven`t landed any this year , another cold front yesterday and North winds today.........
Let me know how you do ?

Went yesterday. Caught 12, some were nice-sized. Hope to do better tomorrow. What happened to all the posts that were in this thread?

Didn't make it fishing today due to rain. Back to Georgia tomorrow. However, my hunting club fried up 50 lbs of white perch today so I got my belly full. Luv dem fish!
