Yesterday was looking good- a new rod I ordered had come in at my local bait and tackle (6'6 Shakespeare synergy) and I also got in some new 1 inch curly tail grubs from an on-line store that rock when it comes to all sorts of panfish. Spent last night rigging up my reel and hooks and woke up this morning to thunder and lightning and a 70% chance of rain today and tomorrow. Doh

We really need it though. 2 weeks ago my well ran dry and had to be lowered and there were about 50 folks ahead of us on the list. It took the pump guys 6 days to restore our water. Obviously, that makes you appreciate the rain a little bit more but I still wish it had come in Friday or Monday. :D

Well, it all worked out today (Sunday). We caught 30 fish as a family. My 4 year old daughter caught the biggest bluegill/redear and my 9 year old son caught the other and a couple of the crappie. We caught 4 bass also but I don't eat bass very often and we only kept what we wanted to eat. Anyway, they were mainly biting on pink/white 2 inch curly tail grubs and 1 inch pumpkinseed curly tails. This was the day I had been waiting for!
