    Smile Shellcrackers on poppers 5/11

Pulled out the flyrod and top water poppers to try the bream this week. Water temp had dropped 10 degrees from last week down to 71 but the crackers didn't mind the cooler water. I mainly was working depression in the banks or pockets and found a couple places where the shellcrackers were bedding. Caught a lot of fish using the poppers with a #10 hook. It's amazing how a small gill can suck in the popper that is as big as it's mouth .
Good time fishing this week for the bream and crackers. Thumbs Up Here are a few pic

I have a popper I want to try out.
Right now, I'm just waiting for my daughter to get home so I can take her fishing. The weather is finally decent and I promised her I would take her. There's one in her tackle box, too!
I love HIM because HE first loved me.

    Hey Stump Hunter,
Nice crackers and gills! I will be getting my fly rod out this week. One more thing,
The last pic with the crappie, is there any "easy" way to adjust the driftmasters with the homemade T bar you have?

When I built the rod holder bases the first tip I carried a pipe wench with me to make all the adjustments to get the rods where I wanted them. After getting home I tacked welded the joints to keep them right. The top cross rods can still be adjusted if needed as they are not tacked. I am going to order the Hi-Tek holders later and will replace the cross pipes.
