    Default Panfishing this weekend

Temps are suppose to get into the upper 70's low 80's this weekend with plenty of sun and barely any wind, perfect conditions to use spinners and spoons in my opinion. But is there a particular snap that i could use to interchange the lures without tying a knot each time i want to change to something else? Does it have to be a swivel snap since i am fishing from the shore? What type of know would work best? The rapala knot?

Plan on using my blue fox vibrax 1/4oz and rattlin' spoons 7/8oz

When I fish a spinner, I always use a snap swivel. That's the only time I don't tie direct.

Ok, i was worried that he swivel would affect the way the spinner moved through the water. I know it effects crankbaits negatively.

Hopefully the 7/8oz spoon is a typo, if not ya might want to downsize a bit for panfish.

It was a typo, after i got them in the mail and looked at them i realized i got a size too big, so i downsized it to the 1/2oz, should get them Friday afternoon. But i might include bass fishing now, heard they are really hopping out of the water now.

Every once in a while if I see big pods of shad I will add a spoon into my spread when longlining. If I do it is 1/8oz to match the jig weight I am fishing with to maintain depth the same. I think ya might want to downsize both your spinners and spoons some to maybe 1/8oz 1/16oz 1/32oz or even 1/64oz. But maybe ya'll got some big corn fed slabs up there if so carry on. But that is just my opinion as well and if it works for ya don't mind me.

1/2oz is the smallest Blue Fox Rattlin' Spoons that i could find, my spinners are in that 1/8oz range.

I plan to go fishing tomorrow, 5-6-11. The plant I work in is on 4 day weeks right now (supply disruptions caused by the Japan earthquake/tsunami), so I figure I may as well make the best of it. I have learned that there is a city owned lake not far from where I work, so I might go there for a while. Just going to have a fun, lazy day!Thumbs Up
I love HIM because HE first loved me.
