Default Breamfest w/ my Dad, Brother & buddy

    Lake DeGray AR

Invited my Dad & Brother to come from NC to do some fishing with me. We had a great 5 days even though it rained every day. I was showing them how to catch bream in deeper water. 20-30 deep on grass bed edges and points. A new experience for them and I hope it unlocked some fish back home that they had never thought about.

Congrats on a good trip. Also kudos for wearing your life vests. Hard to get my buddies to do it.

Welcome from Ms. Saw where SeaRay thanked you for wearing your PFD. I to want to thank you. It only takes a milli second to get into trouble. If I am sitting still I sometimes remove mine but before I get underway I put it back on and clip it. Doesn't do any good if it come off.

That trip was 6 years ago. Sure doesn't seem that long ago. I'd love to get together like that just one more time.

I'm a firm believer in life jackets. I'm like most when it comes to the standard vest types. I'll take it off as soon as the big motor is turned off. The inflatables are so light and comfortable I basically forget I am wearing them. I once walked into a store and the clerk asked, "Just how hard is it raining out there?" I unknowingly still had my inflatable vest on.

That's true about the inflatables! I wear mine all day on the water now, just because I don't even think to take it off...

That is just so great fishing with the dad and brother. Miss fishing with my brother as I taught him how. Dad don't go even close to the water.
