    Default My lattest gill lure

I made these up over the last couple of days while waiting for the 24" of snow to go away. I plan on using these and nothing else for the bluegill fishing at lake Spavanaw. I chose to use only one or possibly two lures and nothing else for several reasons. First it is doubtful I will ever be able to get in or out of a boat again due to a back injury. The only place around here that has good bluegill populations and nice docks is Spavanaw. I do not like to carry lots of fishing tackle, I want one rod and one small fly box with my lures in it and another small box with floats and misc tackle. Both will fit in my pocket. One side of the fly box will hold my eye ball lure and the other side will hold micro pin min blades. I will use meal worms as they are easy to keep and cheap and may switch off and use maggots. I want my fishing to be as hassle free as possible. In the words of Dirty Harry "A Man Has To Know His Limits."

looking nice!sorry to hear about your back,i really hope you are able to get in a boat sometime again.i know how bad it is to be physicaly limited on what kinds of things you can do,and places to go because of my ordeal with cancer.i was in a hospital bed for like around 3 months and needed help walking on my own again.i had to use a cane for a while.im glad god shows me mercy,as i am on my own feet without any problems!also i bet you small berkley power baits would work good tipped on those.i use them on small jigheads sometimes.

I have never used Power Bait but the one thing I do like about it is that it does not need feed to keep it. Truly a hassle free bait.

absolutely, you can put it away for a year or so and take it out and still catch fish with it vs dealing with live bait.i don't use live bait anymore.i find it a hassel, and always hated when it dies and stinks!

Good looking jigs, Tosser. I've had some work done on my lower back, and may need it again but I'm holding off as long as I can. Still get around OK but also have my limits. I have to pay folks to do things that I used to do, still having a problem getting my head wrapped around that. Hope you can get some boat time in the future, keep us posted on how the new jigs do for you.
