Default Some nice gills Tuesday, pics

Plucked a bunch of good gills out from under docks on Tuesday. There was a very serious pattern going. Any variation from in resulted in small fish or no fish. All the good fish were under docks that were right next to boat hoists that had boats on them and the water at the end of the dock had to be over 5 feet deep. Any shallower water, or dock/ hoist combo resulted in smaller fish or no fish at all. Using my typical clear bobber with an orange 1/64 oz jig suspended 30 inches down and tipped with 3/4 of an inch of Eagle Claw Crappie Bait in the natural earth worm color.

    What beautiful coloration!

You must live either on the lake or close to it.

I am actually about 1 mile upstream from the very north end of the lake. All these gills came out of the river section that I live on. The nice batch we caught Sunday came from the lake.

I put some paprika, cayenne, white pepper and garlic w/sea salt on them and pan fried them in olive oil with no batter. Dang stuff will make your tongue slap your brains out.
