Default bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work

nice little proverb. lol. but today that is not true. me and pops made it over to our family pond around 5 this afternoon. made for an excellent afternoon of fun fishing. this was the first time i used my little strike king pond minnow. i was using the black/chartreuse and the tennessee shad color patterns. i've heard others say that just about everything hits em. well i found out for my self today. just about every 2nd or 3rd cast hooked up. mostly small bream and crappie. but with such light tackle, crappie rod and reel set up with 4 lb test made every fish feel all of 2 or 3 lbs. haha. also caught a few small largemouth. caught probably around 2 or 3 dozen fish all together.

sooo i guess that made for good afternoon of lazy sunday fishin'.

and it's always good when i can talk dad in to ridin over there with me and spending a little bit of quality time together

Sounds like a great afternoon. I'm glad that you had a lazy afternoon and managed to hook up quite a few.
