I saw some folks catching tilapia by using grass tied on a hook. I also saw a few
caught on worms...but I think that was more an exception than a rule. Has anybody
found a bait they would actually bite with some regularity??

pegleg, loochloosa was the lake i was talkin about too, i have heard of em but i have never seen any while fishin in the pads, maybe they are gone now, who knows.
Ive caught them on crickets fishing for bluegill on okeechobee
