Sorry if this has been in a previous thread(sure it has at some point), but when is it that the bream will bed? I've always been told that they spawn three days either side of a full moon, so the week before in may, we went and hammered them. All males. 127 and only three were females. So I counted the days untill the full moon, it was four days, and then we went again, only now, there were none to be found anywhere. Wife daughter and myself fished all afternoon for one mediocre bream. So I feel like I got in on the tail end of the spawn last month, and am wondering when to go again this month? Thanks.

5 days before the full moon in may is supposed to be prime.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and

You took 127 fish from one spot and then wonder why they're no fish there, 4 days later? Really? Unless those beds were a quarter mile long, why would you expect them to re-fill that fast? Just find another spot til the next full moon comes around.
As a matter of fact this spot in particular is about a quarter mile long. The entire pit is close to two miles long. We fished everywhere a couldn't catch a thing, so they obviously either had lock jaw, or had moved off the beds. No possible way that was all the fish. But thanks for your jab at my intellegence, and for your input.
i only knew of one lady named blevens that lived there. been so long don't know what her first name was. senath is about 240 miles south of st. louis.
Fronts have a lot to do with fish on the bed, regardless of the moon phase. The week before the last full moon, fish were bedding up and we were taking them at will. A large front came through, major rain, hail, so on. Then according to legend the prime time was here, but the fish were not. I also think the irregular heat we are having in our area, has ended the spawn sooner than usual. I have not seen a fish on a bed, for about a week or so, I'm sure its different in other areas, but where I fish....I think they are done.
From what I know they Bream will spawn all summer long on the full moon, but they will get progressively deeper each full moon cycle,,,but like LC79 said, a Front will alway's mess them up regardless of what the moon is doing, stay with it ,they will be back...

Same thing here. I guess that's just fishing. Some times you get'um, some times they get you.
