I had a guy tell me, to put them in a container with some old sawdust from an outdoor pile, and wet it down. the older the sawdust the better, and I can't swear to it, but I think he said something about putting them in the fridge too.

Does anyone keep grass shrimp from one fishing trip to the next?
How do you care for them??

I use to freeze them in cornmeal. They will keep for quite a while.

Are they alive to begin with? When we use live ones, I'll sometimes keep them in my aquarium at home. A couple get eaten by the Bluegill, but they survive pretty well.
From the Vados Bait website:
Fresh Water Shrimp
Cool fresh well water, cooled down lake water, pond water and or river or stream water will all work just fine. Do not use chlorinated water (city water). Check your bait every 3-4 days and remove any dead and change water at that time.
