upstate NY
Been pounding the panfish again this yr in the fingerlakes area. All the state ponds around Corning have been very good. The marmuska football shape jigs, red/yellow and green/red tipped with a waxie have been best. For some reason the crappie have all been short, 8- 81/2 inches. Gills are prespawn, spawn and post spawn so far. A really good mix. Been using the boat more this yr. Honeyoye, the canal on the penn yan end of Kueka and Waneta, Lamoka have been great. Don't think I can do Black lake this yr. Coming up from Fl and getting my boat ready has my cash reserve pretty thin. The wife is flying up the 11th of june and we will head for home the end of june. Will try to give another report before we head back to florida.
