Default 5/19 Lake Barkley gills and crackers

2 friends and I skinned over 140 gills and 18 big crackers. Had 3 crackers between 12 to 13 inches.

Wooo, talkin about a nice mess of fish, did I mention the shellcracker! Looks like a couple of those shellies are pushing 1 1/2lbs or better.

Those are trophy crackers for sure, I might even mount the biggest one. I'm sure they're much more imposing in person, pictures don't do fish justice IMO. It's amazing how Kentucky Lake/Barkley have become such shellcracker hotspots. I guess that's where I need to go to find my two pounder.

your right pictures don't do them justice the one is big as a pie plate. I'm not in to mounting fish just eating them, but crackers are beautiful fish

    Nice mess of fish!
Tell some of your fishing methods.
What were you using live bait or jigs?
Did you fillet them or just gut them?
