I might try that this year. In addition to the unhooking problems, trebles would snag a lot of weeds and snags in some of the waters I fish.

The single hook swap-out sounds like a good idea.
the rebel cricket/grass hopper crank bait kicks butt, the yeller one works best for me along with the black one. like them late evening in the summer worked on the surface for monster gills. twitch them and wiggle them to make a few ripples on the surface and hold on.
i've used the tiny tadpole one,and the cricket hopper with sucess on big gills in spring time
I love the wee crawfish. Have caught just about everything on it.
I like the 1-1/2" Rebel crawdad, cricket, frog, and minnow but never tried the tadfry
Those are all great lures for bluegills and also small bass. I use them a lot when I am fishing farm ponds.
