Default The Perfect Bluegill Jig for Worms

I got this idea on the jig tyeing forum, while looking for a baitholder jig hook.Seems that it worked perfectly, and now have evolved it into catching larger bluegills without loosing my worms going through the little guys.I use a 1/16 oz. jighead, snip the barb off the collar about half, and use a size 1 sickle hook. While using size 8 and even 6 the little guys would get caught to easy.I just tie a staple to the shank of the hook really good,I think that the thread soaks up the worm smell.Under a slip bobber got smaller ones,Drug across the nottom got bigger ones.In the backs of coves. The staple keeps the worm on good,6 fish,1 worm, lol,as long as you are paying attention.
