Went out for several hours today, many small gills , no keepers, water temp down to 77............ fished deep / shallow etc all "bean size" gills , fun but no fish fry tonite....................
Saw this guy "fishin" too , looked like a cub, kept our distance in case his momma showed up !

BLI ! thinks he is the only one going to launch !

Was tempted to park behind him :D

Pat, I talked to a guy Thurs that was fishing with a flyrod and caught over 100 gills in My Home creek. I did not see the fly He was using but He said it was the best day He had ever had there. He was sure pulling them in but he also did not say what size they were. I spect they are biting good over there in that hole where we talked about having the bash too. What Ya think? I caught a few crappie the other day but the bite was slow. should have pulled out the worms. CF

    Default Thanks for the info.......

We debated about going south but decicded to stay closer to home, may fish down that way Monday..........(prospective bash location) I see they are calling for a chance of showers now .... may just go north ie Winton area..
We haven`t done much of anything this summer , ( a boat load of bean size tho)I really believe the lack of rain / salt water ruined the fishin......... every one I`ve talked to has had a slow year, glad to hear somebody catchin some...........
Fished with worms and tried my new fly rod / fly out , had a few strikes and it (the bug) disappeared a couple of times, guess I`m just too slow in my old age to set the hook
I tied this one and several others, left the legs a little longer to help its floating qualities , some of my others float then slowly sink , ok but I like to see`em hit the surface............
keep on postin the news from down south

Bug I tied and used Sat...........
