    Default Beached in Collinsville....

Unfortunately I sold my boat in order to move up here, so I am stuck on the bank to fish. And being new to the area, I need some help on good fishin spots! I'm looking for some decent places to crappie fish from the bank at Oologah or Skiatook. I found a potentially decent spot at Osage Park at Skiatook when the time is right, but aside from the cottonmouths, had no luck there this weekend. If anyone can throw me a bone here on decent places to go I'd greatly appreciate it!

Your real close to Oologah and below the dam at Oologah has some real good fishin anytime they're running water. You can call the corp office and find out if they're running water. Lots of crappie caught there and darn near every critter that swims in OKLA. I've caught walleye up to 8 lbs, crappie, hybrids, flatheads, blues, channels, bass, sandbass, perch, drum, buffalo, carp, gar, and spoonbill. Just go and spend some time watching all the fisherman and if you find someone catching fish go ask how and where. Most people are more than willing to help.

No the best way to find it is to go to google maps. Its east of 169 between the caney river and main street where it runs east by the dollar general. No boats allowed walk in only type thing. Ive caught lots of little bass there and some little crappie but also a few slabs. Its really clear and has lots of good brush on the south side.

Hey thanks guys, I sure appreciate the help! Went to Collinsville city lake yesterday afternoon, it was pretty slow. I only caught two crappie, but they were pretty decent size. Sure beats sittin in the recliner studying any day.

Caught them on a white curly tailed grub with a black head. Switched to yellow split tail grub after a while, but they didn't dig that too much. Tried pink, no luck, and same with black. White seemed to work better than the others, but still nothing spectacular.
