    Default Fuel\oil Ratio For 15HP Merc?


    Is it 50:1? Roughly one pint of 2-cycle oil per 6 gallons of gasoline? Just want to make sure. Any advice?

    50 to 1 is correct. I have always been told its better to have a little extra oil than not enough. A little to much wont hurt it.

    As long as it is a "newer" motor. Newer being 1970 or newer. The older outboards used 25:1 ratio

    2.6 oz per gallon is a 50:1 ratio.
