We could get Ed to possibly make the trip, representing Crappie.com in it's highest form. Since he is the sole owner of everypart of this site, I would suggest getting him in a boat at no charge, with someone that knows the lake very well and could be able to make the trip from Yankeeville worth the time. He has been known to show up at the Arkie camps. Jerry and Darryl really take care of him when it comes to Crappie.
Just a thought. Any guides down that way not booked for at least 1/2 day or so might offer up a spot. With Jake possibly not going, I could take Ed with me, but would need the help in certain areas so I don't have to spend too much time searching. I do know, that pointed in a general area, I'll find the fish.
Crappie.com Owner, Ed Moes is sending me a few T shirts and stickers for the get together. They will be added to the drawing for prizes.
My best fishing buddy...my 14 year old son...and I will be attending. If you can come up with an itinerary, maps, contacts ect...and send it out it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Al the itenerary is to be at fountainhead at 9:00 meet and greet and then showtime at 10:00. This is the 1st Oklahoma forum and we are wanting to get input as to where we want to take an Oklahoma Crappie fishing forum on a statewide level. There will be a representation of the vendors who are interested in promoting Crappie programs statewide as well as fishermen with every kind of expertise pertaining to Crappie. We are wanting a ODWC rep to speak but if not we can improvise. I hope we have a good representation of Guides. Brian Young and Todd Huckabee are both local guides on Eufaula and I hope they will be able to attend. Todd's Dad is a guru when it comes to Crappie and I've talked to several people who hope he is there. Nevertheless some excellent fishermen will be present and Leland could be a guide on Eufaula as well as EB if they wanted to. Leland is going to talk about future shows relating to Crappie fishing and George is bringing some of his gear to sell and to look at. CR is going to represent crappie.com and hopefully talk a little about fishing Oolaghah. We will have a big fish contest for whoever wants to participate on Sunday ending at 3:00 PM so keep the big fish from after the meeting saturday till sunday at 3:00. Must be alive and jumping around. If you cheat go look in the mirror and wonder about who really got cheated. Folks we are going to have a good time and this is all about Oklahoma fishermen. I have no idea how long the meeting will take but I do need someone to build or improvise a suggestion box. Me and Leland are meeting to put together a schedule of events so anyone who wants involved in that can be just contact us. PM us here and leave a contact number so we can call you. Thanks folks and I am really excited about fishing with everyone.
I don't have any idea about representing Crappie.com. I'm just like everyone else heading that way. I plan to give you guys the shirts and stickers if Ed sends them and you can give them out as door prizes. As for Oologah, many people are more qualified. I'll be happy to talk about what works for me, but I've been skunked many times out. I'll try the same places an hour later and hit fish. The spawn on Oologah has been somewhat strange the last couple of years compared to other waters I have fished. I still haven't tested out many of the areas of Oologah I would like to. I do know some areas that produce to keep crappie in the freezer, and spend the rest of my time looking for new areas. That can be as fun as sitting on top of a familiar spot.
;)Update on the get-together; WE are still contacting companies for products, not many responded at this point [slow market times I guess] but we do have some products...maybe a few more to come. Nic Norton public relations manager with Lindy Tackle is coming along with Todd Huckabee , we will all get to see the new X-change jigheads! We spoke with Gene Larew / Garland baits, they will be there as well, also invited Hart Tackle here in Oklahoma....no response yet? Looks to be better than expected for companies so far.......thanks everyone for your helping on this first time event!
Oh, forgot that Brian Young aka Eufaula Boy, says he will try to drop by early on his way to Arizona [he coaches baseball] to visit before he leaves...thanks E.B.:)
I have a few questions;
We plan to meet at the marina at 9am on Saturday morning. Where will the guest speakers do their presentation? Are there any contingency plans in case its raining? (sheltered area or facility)
Would you like me to make a box for the raffle? I will be glad to do so without any charge because I have the material in stock.
Are we going to have a specific area for our picnic\banquet\eating activities?
And, I suppose everyone should bring their own lawn chairs\seating.
How about lights? Any need for a lightpole set-up?
Do we need someone to be a designated nametag person? It would be as simple as stickers that can be applied to your shirt or jacket. (or we can really get gung-ho and have the 24k gold nameplates like the executives at IBM use, diamond studded, light bar around them, scented like crappie of course):eek:
Just ask if there is anything I can do to help. I did buy a small 14' used pontoon boat and will have room for 2 people (preferably a father/son team)
Stink; Good points for sure, Fish.on & myself are going to meet on Sat. 7th. to set up a schedule of events, also to coordinate with Jason as well. You can come join us at the marina if your not tied up that day. Yep please make up a box if you like, I was going to make one out of a Folgers coffee can LOL. We got another product donation from Comal Tackle out of Buda TX. They make a big line of floaters, Thanks to the fine folks at Comal. I hope everyone can make it down, looks like fun to me!!!
I probably won't knw if I'll make it there til the day before.... that's how I operate
