Minnows and I only have been fishing docks, since they don't count and all.
Actually haven't fished a dock in months and I've really been using Beaver bottoms. Only jig in my arsenal now

Josh, DStreet is hosting a tourney on Kaw March 10th. My understanding is a bunch of the Kansas boys are raising Oklahoma. Your participation would sway the odds of us Okies getting some of that Yankee greenback!
Unfortunately I have prior obligations. Would love to but guiding has picked up considerably. I might have thought about it if I would have been on the lake more than 1 time.
I know you and your compadres want nothing more than to me to fail and lose, but it will have to wait.
I have no desire to see you or anyone else fail.
I want to first start this post by saying I'm not attacking or flaming you. I've only met you once, at a gas station, each of us filling up our boats. And I'm the one that introduced myself to you. I understand your quezzy feeling about fishing a tournament on a lake that you have limited experience on. First time I did I was a nervous wreck. But that's how I started. I've only been crappie hunting for about 4 years. You know how many years I had in experience when I started fishing the Oklahoma trail? ZERO! Do you know how much experience I had on the trail lakes I fished that first year? .000! But here's why. I was new to crappie fishing and especially new to this sight. Thanks Ed! During my first year I met, and to this day still meet some of the best people I've ever had the honor to meet. More important, some if not most have become good friends. And to me, that's what it's all about. I also went in knowing I wasn't top dog on the sled. I knew I needed to learn. And learn I have, and continue to. While its my nature to be competive, I also see the value in mankind. It's not the money and it's not the winning. It's about this group of people. Nobody wants to see you fail. We all want to see you prevail. But while you talk about us not giving you a chance, your not giving us one either. Do you know what I'm saying?

I think there's a few Okies up here that will do okay in the tournament
I bought another 93SV for the front (this one is chirp) but got last years model since I hated the touchscreen on my Lowrance when I had it. Now I have the same controls as on the console which I am familiar with. It helped it was $500 instead of a thousand. I have played with the touchscreen and like it better than the Lowrance I had. But, that's about the extent of $$ I'm gonna spend on electronics.
Josh, I know you had some members here come down on you but I don't believe anyone wishes you to fail. I would hope you join in with some of our activities and see that it's a pretty good bunch of guys that just like to crappie fish. The last thing most of us want is to belittle anyone or create animosity. If you get a chance with your schedule join in on a tournament or come to one of our crappie camps and have some fun. Good luck with your guiding business.

p.s. lighten up!
