Who knows where we will by with the water levels and temps by then. Maybe head up North and put in at Holly Creek. Just a short paddle south to some decent walleye water and Holly Creek area should be good for Crappie. If you're down south in the Carson Creek area around the islands for walleye and a few marked brushpiles for crappie.

Thanks for the advise. We rented a cabin SW of the Dam. Got folks coming in for a Bigfoot get together and we wanted to go up a couple days early to have a little fun. Sure have always wanted to catch a few Walleye just to see how good of table fair they are. Heard they were real good
Nope, not kidding. Oklahoma is actually one state that has LOTS of reports.
With legalized marijuana now in Colorado there will likely be more REPORTS by stoners here...dude.
Had a friend years ago claim a sighting when he was staying at a cabin between Hillside and Westcliffe. Said he thought it was a female because it was only about 6 1/2 ft tall and was walking down a trail away from him. Said she prissed a little like a female with a purse on her arm. He was no stoner, but did like his beer.
Beavers Bend Park Facebook page says we might have some ramps open later today.
Good morning! Today is Wednesday, March 14th. It's currently 30 ° here at Beavers Bend State Park with sunny skies today and a high temperature of 64 ° expected. Winds light and variable. ( Current Lake level is 617.02. All boat ramps are closed; however; we may be able to open a few later today. There are some lake area campgrounds that are closed, but a few more were opened yesterday as lake levels continue to fall. Cedar Creek golf course is OPEN with holes 16, 17 and 18 still closed. The driving range is also closed.)
