For those that would like to see a video of the proper way to use this Bubba Blade you can search YouTube for "Bubba Blade vs Electric Knife". Chuck Rollins of Big Crappie.Com goes slow to show the proper technique.
When my son and I fished with him several years ago he had the two fillets going into a owl of ice water every 10 seconds at full speed off of each crappie. It was amazing.
Zeke and I had a great time today fishing in the Fort Gibson Tournament. Congrats to everyone who caught fish! It seemed like everyone did well and had a good time. Congrats to the winning teams. I love the Gibson weigh-in every year. There are so many big black crappie that get weighed, and I felt especially lucky to have a few of my own. Thanks to those who make the effort to put these tournaments together for all of us. I've really enjoyed them. I look forward to the Oologah tournament (possibly), and for sure the Classic at Wister. Thanks again! (oh, and I would love to hear from the top three teams what they did and how they did it. To me it's all about learning how to become a better crappie fisherman. I feel like my "entry fee" is mainly for the education.I appreciate those who are willing to share.)

Well put Masterpiece!
Oil Drainer and I had a blast. Really enjoyed it, and appreciate Crooked Hook ,and everyone else that put the tournament together.
We came in 3rd, and 3rd big fish also. Prefished Thursday and Friday both, kept limits both days. Caught 50+ fish each day.
Fished from 14 mile all the way up the river.
We don't understand river fishing yet.
Best tournament fish were in James Dennis and Clear Creek for us.
We fished standing timber only, 8-17 FOW fish 7-10'. We were not looking for a big school of fish, we were looking for 2-3 big fish on a tree.
We tried casting and dragging, then would move right over them and dead stick it.
Need to give credit where credit is due, thanks to Frank at G-Daddy crappie tackle.
These baits were all we ended up using on tourney day. Thanks Frank!

Our youngest son Brady and I fished it and we were blessed to get 2cd......we went up river after prefishing the evening before on the main lake and catching smaller fish....took a chance and ran up river....fished 6-10 ft brush piles, stump beds and log jams.....most fish came off of silver fish and pumpkin chartreuse.....double dipped with Huckabee dipping rods, also cast and drag piles with Timmy Toms.....caught alot of fish today and as always had a great time.....thanks to Carl at Crooked Hook for giving us a great place and donations to the tournament. Also to Starfish Ken Roberson for the rod donations as well as the other sponsors......it was a great time as usual.

This was one of the better tournaments we have ever had for crappie.com. Every team that entered weighed a limit. It takes a lot of people to make these things happen. I first want to thank Brian and Darrell for heading up our tournament series. Yesterday I saw several others helping in what ever needed to be done. Bob and Robert handled the weigh in, Johnny took pictures, Cory took care of prize money, and Buck was our on the water photographer . If I forgot anyone it is unintentional. I also want to thank Carl for the awesome hospitality and the generous donation of 2 rod and reel combos and a rod for prizes. Also thank you to Frank for the Bubba blade and gift certificate. I too agree this is a great group of people who have taught me so much about crappie fishing.
As for me and Brian, we fished up the river from Toppers to Horeshoe bend. We cast and dragged with weedless Timmy Tom jig heads. I used Mikes Custom Baits in blue/char, salt pepper, and Brian used Frank's in the same colors as well as Bobby Garland in monkey milk. We fished lay downs and stumps in 8-10 fow. We caught several fish on every one of them but only caught 1 big fish at a stop.
Thanks to everyone and hope to see everyone at Wister in July. It should be an awesome tournament also.
