Don't feel alone ... same thing is happening at some of my home lakes (in Ky), as well as the lake in East Tenn that I just fished earlier this week.
Best I can tell is that the fluctuating weather/water levels has them moving in & then backing off ... and the water temps got too high in the shallows for them to continue their shallow spawning attempts. They "may" attempt to spawn a little deeper than normal, if possible, or they may simply absorb their eggs and live to try again next year.![]()
