when to fish?

I grew up a bass fisherman.. but now im more into crappie and catfish.. the eaters! haha

a few years ago icaught plenty of crappie on oveholser in the cattails..
just wondering when a god time to start looking for the is? im new to crappie fishn!

I do have a10 foot jon boat that I can take on smaller waters, like crystal lake.

cisc.....welcome to the board.....any time you can go is the time to fish.....right now on eufaula i can tell you they are anywhere from 1ft to 8ft deep usually.....go and find them and let us know ....good fishing

One bit of info that has helped me out is taking at look at the archives on here (cdc) of the lake that you like to fish. Usually if go back to the same time of year and look at a few years you will see a pattern of when the fish starts to really pick up.
