Default Best Time Of The Day For Bites?

I've always looked at mornings and the late evenings to be the best times of the day to catch fish, but on Eufaula I'm finding that not to be true. Mid-mornings and in the afternoons around 3 seem to be the most productive for me. Any feedback on your best times?

Stink, all winter for me it has been from noon to 4pm also. I have commented to some buddies that this is not normal. I suspect that will change back over the next few weeks.

The last few years (winter time), Carl Blackwell has been best in early morning and usually peters out before 9 A.M. In spring, it's good all day, but shallow fishing really picks up after dusk. Ft. Cobb is about the same, except that once winter sets in, it's totally dead during the middle of the day.

Gibson times are off as well and short; they've been running about 10 to 11 and then 3:30 to 5.

On Eufaula for us the fish have been really scattered. We catch a few all day but seems the best bite is between 1pm till Dark. Numbers have been between 25-40 each day. Better bite is coming...if we could get just a few days with stable weather that time would be now.....Ranger

Hugo was a late bite last year and again this year. It could have something to do with the Moon phase but I don't know. I do know if I can fish, I fish.

Reaper, I am wondering about the correlation to the moon phase also. Last 2 years late afternoon bite only on Hugo, both years very close to the full moon. Just like you I fish when I can!

Yes the time to fish is when you can and hope the fish are chewing. Lately for me I have missed out alot on the chewing end of the deal.
