Biohazard/ Medical Waste found in the Arkansas River

Just and FYI, it has been reported today that they have found 5 boxes of used needles and containers containing medical / blood waste in the Arkansas River in both Osage and Pawnee counties. Please be extremely cautious when it comes to consuming fish caught in these areas. Links to the stories are posted below.

Heck they have been eating fish out of that river for years, that the city's of Tulsa, Sand Springs, Jenks, Bixby, Leonard, and several more that occasionally has been in violation of dumping raw sewage into the river basin. If we only knew what was accidentally dumped not only in our rivers but lakes included not only would we not eat fish we would not dare get wet.....as bad as this discovery is it's just a needle in the haystack....Ranger

Spoke with the Guy who initialy found the first containers last night and he said they thought they started finding them just below Belford Bridge on Arkansas. If I remember correctly eh said he personaly found 6 or 7 shipping containers and that he contacted the Hospital where they came from and the VP tried to come and get them, He thought to sweep it under the rug??? Then later mentioned that there were several more containers found near Cleavland, no telling how many were dumped!!

I believe they have caught the guy.

They arrested a guy from Ralston they had on video taking more sharps boxes. Only thing we can think of is that he was taking them for any drugs put in them.
