Supposedly, it does this pretty well. Time will tell. I have no idea why since his formula is secrete.
I knew of a guide on a southern OK lake that would pour a can or two of creamed corn over the brushpiles he planned to fish the next day the evening before. I guess the bait fish would eat the small pieces of corn which attracted crappie to those piles.

Never cared for creamed corn- I believe that guide came up with the perfect thing to do with it, pour it in the water.
What Greg (Crappie King) said above is absolutely true. It happened just as he said and Dennis and I were impressed.
I know now that others at camp also experienced the bite turning on about the same time that we started catching all around the lake so I don't know how much we could attribute
to the crappie cakes. But, in my mind it was the crappie cakes.
This happened on the fish attractor just south of the marina and we had baited it at least twice after we arrived on Wednesday. We had fished it at least twice a day and at around the same time
the bite started. On previous days we were skunked but, we did not know to sprinkle crumbled up crappie cakes over the area.
I don't think its just a coincidence that within 2 to 3 minutes after spreading the pieces on the water that we started catching fish!
Maybe the jury is still out but, I plan to keep trying them and would recommend others do the same!
I know he gave out several at camp, Just curious if anyone else has had a chance to try, did I understand you right when you say you put these cakes out around the piles 2 days previously with no luck? but when crumbled up you caught a few??
I inspected a cake and found that it barely was able to hold itself together. Placing this in a loose weave bag, I anticipate that it will dissolve and settle out within a hour or two. The cake appeared to be made with small feed grains, meal, and bound by molasses. In my opinion, it will take a significant number of these cakes placed in the water for several days to stimulate the food chain to show any conclusive proof. I have known people to hang sacks of soured wheat in burlap bags over brush to stimulate the food chain and thereby attracting the zooplankton which attracts the minnows. Within a few days, they were able to catch various species of fish off the bag. Periodically, they replenished the feed and sustained the fishery.
