    Default Tulsa area fishing

Hey there everyone. I am relatively new here and have a question for tulsa area folks. Is there anywhere around tulsa that I can take my daughter and let her have a good time catching a good number of fish? I've been to some of the ponds listed in the tulsa urban fisheries as well as sahoma. I just want her to have a good chance at catching some crappie or other panfish. She likes fishing but I need somewhere to take her to get "hooked". Thanks

No luck at Sahoma? That's usually a great spot for kids to catch a lot of little crappie. Do you have a boat? If so Shell Lake is another place kids can catch a lot of crappie and sandies as well but almost no bank access. If you're boatless perhaps some of the bank fishermen in the area will chime in or if the water ever comes back up at Sahoma maybe my daughter and I can take ya'll out in our little boat. It would be crowded but I think I can fit 2 adults and 2 kids and I can almost always find fish willing to bite out there.

I've seen some fish at sahoma but not a lot. And yes I'm boatless for the time being. What about pretty water? I know there are more docks there and it seems to be better maintained but I've never fished it.

I don't ever fish it because of the extra cost, but they stock it all summer with panfish and cats so the fishing should be good.

I may have to fork it over some time. That's why I haven't fished it too but if it's worth it for her I'll do it.

If you are wanting to fish Pretty Water, let me know and we can go out there some day. I know a couple of places back in the "Creek" that we can get her into some panfish and maybe even a few cat's. I will bring my boat. All I ask is that she has a life jacket on at all times. Other than that, we can split the bait and go have a good time.

That sounds pretty good. I may wait a while to do it depending on weather. If it heats up too much she doesn't do well in it
