Billbob told me I've got one of them autographed Koozies at DaveBrowns. I also need to get the C.C banner from him. Looks like he needs to invite me to go fishing with him.

I guess then that I must be one of the younger members of Team Gueber. LOL BillBob handed me one of he autographed coolies also.
I guess in more way than one "We are Family"
I am not good with words anymore, though I try. LOL I would just like to say Thank you again to everyone that made this possible. I believe I have made some new friends out of this camp and I have some memories that will last me a lifetime. I loved being out on the USS POS with CrappieReaper and DeeDee. We may have not filled the live well but we did make some fantastic memories. Thank you for that buddy. BillBob, what can I say, I know I made a new friend with the wandering crappie.com man of the year. I really enjoyed our "trailer side talks with you and Crappie Reaper".
I am looking forward to next year folks, I can't wait.

These are some great posts. Wish I could have been there. That type of opening ceremony is what America needs a whole lot more of, instead of the stuff we see so often nowadays. My father and father-in-law both served in the Pacific. Dad was on a troop-cargo transport and drove those landing craft up on the beaches. He wears his WWII veteran cap all the time, and people always come up to thank him. Dean was a marine sergeant when the war started. He was one of only two guys out of a hundred in his outfit who survived the war.
Guess who got the first autographed coolie before the rest of camp showed up! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the legend!
Although I couldn't make it this year....with the opening ceremony and all the comments...all I can say is "Job Well Done" to those involved....maybe next year
I wish I had been able to get there on Friday and/or earlier on Saturday so I could have taken full advantages of everything that went on--did learn from the demo/talk before the fish fry Saturday night. I don't see well in the dark so had to leave for home before drawings were done and was offered crappie for my freezer but when I was leaving I couldn't find the person I was told to get with. I was surprised by the offer and greatly appreciated it--just was unable to follow through and take possession of them. I hope next year I can be there from start to finish (by then hopefully will have tent etc for camping so I CAN be there for entire event) good job on the fish fry
