    Default Crappie donations

It looks like we have lots of entries for the Eufaula tournament this Saturday. As most of you all know, we having our first ever (to my knowledge) crappie camp June 6 & 7. We plan on about 50 folks to feed, so I am asking for donations of crappie (after the weigh in, of course). If you would like to donate, let me (woodworker42, aka Merle Parsons) or IkenI (Floyd Carter) know and we will be glad to accept. Heck, we will even filet them!

Thanks and come join us at camp!

If the fishing ever starts getting better, I'll probably have some to be able to donate. Just can't commit till I know for sure if I'll catch any

Luckily we have a little time between now and camp so hopefully things will improve. But so far it's been the big goose egg on the number that I've caught this year.

Toon, I'm hopeful the tournament fishermen will gather up a few! Sounds like you are successful like me.

I've got a question about this. At the Kaw tourney a guy took a bunch of donated fish that would have put him way over the limit but as far as I saw, nobody gave him a note stating they caught the fish and I worried for him. My understanding is that if you do this you should always get a note from the person that caught the fish stating their name, the date, and number of fish caught. Is this true?

Achiro...you are correct. "It is unlawful to possess fish, or parts thereof, taken by another person without written information which includes the taker’s name, address, license number, date taken, and number and kind of fish, plus name and address of person receiving those fish."

Most game wardens wont or i should say shouldnt mess with you on a case like this, or after any tournament but to cover you rear, you may want to have some paperwork that follows what the law is.

Thanks Redge, I'll keep you posted. We are hoping to catch enough during our "big fish" fun tournament but want to be prepared--just in case.
