    Default Wister Pattern

The lake was 8 ft high so Brian and I dipped a single jig in the flooded bushes in the main lake. We both used Huckabee Meat Dragga rods, crappie pro reels, spooled with 10 lb crappie pro hi vis yellow line. Brian used a chartruese yellow 1/8 oz Crappie Pro head with a 2" lime/char Yum beavertail and an orange 1/8 oz Crappie Pro jig head with a 2" pump/char Bobby Garland slab slayer. I used a chartruese yellow 5/32 Crappie Pro jig head with a 2" lime/char Yum beavertail and a 5/32 chartruese yellow CrappiePro jig head with a 2" pearl/char Yum Beavertail.

The depth we fished was 7-9 fow. Only a few of the bushes held fish, so we went back to those same bushes 2-3 times throughout the day. We only caught 20-25 fish the entire day but most of them were good fish. We caught all male fish, no females up shallow yet. Water temp was from 55-57 degrees and stained.

Odie, with Wister that high I was wondering if you found them in the flooded Brush. Excellent report Doug, I hope some of the other teams well post their pattern.

Odie, we plan on fishing Wister next weekend. Where would you recommend putting the boat in?......dave

Dave, with the lake up I would recommend Quarry Island.

My fishing partner and I talked about it but we don't have a boat. He had 10 with one 2lb and 4 over 1lb himself. We caught from the bank.
