Oologah on Ice
Went out around 7:30 this morning and chopped enough ice out to launch my boat 2' at a time. Ice was over 2.5" thick out towards the center of The Creek out from the ramp towards the south bluff. Turned back to the north and held tighter to the bank where it was only 2" thick. It took about 45 minutes to make it about 400 yards. After busting loose a big sheet surrounding the area I wanted to fish, I backed into it and pushed the entire sheet out of the way so I could have some cleared fishing areas. Several dinks, about 16 keepers and basically a windless, warm day in February catching some fish on my day off. I like it!
