Got a call from Jason with a good report from Fountainhead Marina. He said 2 guy's started fishing yesterday morning @ opening and had 2 limits by 10:30, fishing 6'-8' with baby bass Garlands. He also added they move down to 8'-12' afternoon and last week 3" slabslayers were good in Blk./Chart. Baby Crawdad / Cajun Cricket.

Is there a public fishing dock on Oolagah lake, heated or not? My dad is in claremore visiting relatives and is looking for a place to catch a few crappie. He said he tried the claremore dock but due to the spring break crowd it was shoulder to shoulder. I told him I would try to find something out on Oolagah. Thanks, Ronnie.

Hotrod, there is a small public dock at Redbud Marina. I don't know much about it. It is not heated. There is fairly large marina there but it is for slip renters and guests only. If I was home I would take him out in my boat.

Full-service restaurant, nicely decorated as though it were an Outback Steak House or eqivilent. Bar, inside fishing, plenty of room, and boat slips.

The location (darn, I can't remember the name of that camping area) is the first road heading north past the golf course\airport. About a mile back to the camping area and the little road that goes down to the new marina circles to the right of the mobile home.

I'm sure the closer it gets to opening, the more you will hear of this dandy place.

    Hey Stinkfinger,

I went to the new marina at Arrowhead today. Quite a few people were fishing there. Catching crappie. No one was inside eating while I was there. Lots of slips and some are still available for rent. I think it is $5.00 per day to fish at the dock, but don't quote me. They said they were getting a temporary fuel tank in a week or so, but the huge tank they have planned for won't be put in until last of April. So no fuel right now, but will be soon.

So I fished from 9:00 to 4:00 and caught one 7" crappie. Tried docks between the point and your end of the cove, and the Pumpkin Patch, but caught nothing. We could see lots on the fish finder.

Does anyone fish the Indian hills dock on Grand? I am thinking about taking my boy, as he has never crappie fished from a covered dock before. We used to have a cabin on duck creek, and there was a fishing dock there too - is it gone now? I would like to find a good fishing dock. We had a private one owned by the family for years, but it was sold. Oh, those were the days!

Haven't fished Grand in years. Used to have a dock at Woodard Hollow. Sure miss those days.
