Heated fishing docks

Stopped in at Claremore dock at 10am today. 10 people fishing only 4 fish in baskets. This fishing hole is fished out till the fish grow up.

For the past few weeks the bite has been off. We were getting 1 to 2 hr hot streaks then the bite drops off. The morning bite from sunrise to 9 or 10 has been best.

I am still at the day job but I just got a report of a good bite today. Must be the crazy weather.


The dock on the deep side right now is in about 27 foot and 15 in shallow. At normal 32 and 20.

around the walkway and ship store it varies from about 5 to 35 feet.

Salt Creek ( The Old Keyport) Keystone Lake is 24/7 and Honor system payment. Heated too!

I went to that Keystone Lake Marina just past mannford on sunday probably got there around 930am, nice setup, love the store, nice and heated inside. Lost of people inside but I only saw little crappies caught, nothing worth keeping, could have been an off day. I did notice lots of brush and wasn't able to fish deep but the lake is pretty low so that's not the docks fault. The only negative comment I will leave about the keystone dock is the people smoking inside, I couldn't stay in very long with the smoke so I was force to fish outside. Looking forward to fishing that dock more when the water level is up!

That can be a problem with indoor docks. Several years ago it was that way at Fountainhead. A few complaints later, they posted "no smoking inside" and it was much nicer. I believe the business picked up also. Nice to hear of a decent dock over there - just wish it was closer to me.

The smoking thing is enough to keep me away, my wife would think I had been in a bar and not fishin! LOL
