Yep there and to the south. Came in sperts.
Ok so winter is coming up on us again and I am starting a job on hwy 82 north of Tahlequah and south of Beggs. Looking for a good crappie dock to hit when we have bad weather days and can't work. I went over today to check on Caney Ridge Marina but their sign said open thurs, fri sat. and not real sure they have a well anymore. Saw some negative posts online about new owners but thought I would try anyway. So back to square one I guess. Any suggestions?
A good heated crappie deck in the winter is going to come with one bad thing, TRAFFIC!!! Best one going that I know of is Carl Blackwell. I personally couldn't stand being around a bunch of yardbirds elbow deep but would have to too if I had no other choice.
If you'll be south of Beggs hit Molly Browns at Eufaula state park. Don't know of a heated dock on Xkiller but green leaf has one. Never fished it
Thanks for info. May be heading back to Pawhuska job after tomorrow not real sure yet. Kinda up in the air.
Anyone have an idea about how crowded the heated dock at Arcadia is?
Anyone know anything about the new dock in Manford. Such as hours, price, any fish being caught, etc.? Also any fish being caught at Carl Blackwell yet? My truck is down and can't haul the boat till I figure out what's wrong with it, but I have the urge to do some fishing.
Scott, I've been there 3 times. Haven't seen any crappie of any size come out of there-but have seen some small bass and some decent catfish from there. It's $3 for 24 hrs. Water is 12 - 16 ft deep nearly as I can tell-pretty well brushed. It's not heated, but has several outlets along the sides-I guess to plug in your own heater. It's a nice setup-two wells and adequate seating. I'm planning on going more when the weather is too cold for this old dude to be on the water. Hope this helps! Good to hear from you again.
thank you for the post Merle. I'm gonna have to get up there in the next week or so.
