Has anyone recommended sharpening your hooks? just a thought
brand new Matzuo. Feel pretty darn sharp when I impale myself getting them out of my box!
Yep harder hook set
Got a question for Redge and Ranger, I have been using a #10 braid for deep(20 to 30ft) jigging and having a problem with the line wrapping around my eye and pole at the end is there any brand that is better than others for this, hate to give up the feel of braid but if I dont pay attention when dropping jigs down I can have a mess to untie,, any thoughts appreciated
Dstreet I used to have that problem also. I tried a new line from http://boneheadtackle.com, I have been using his Braid in the 12# test 2# dia. I do not have that problem any more. I don't know why but, his (Josh's) line doesn't do that. By the way I am not sponsored by bonehead, and have paid for every spool that I have got! Bonehead does have some good stuff! Search the CDC forums for bonehead and you can see what a lot of other people besides me are saying. I fish braid year round, and have been using the bonehead for at least 6-8 months. Since you posted this up, it reminds me I need to place an order!
There are 2 brands out there that will get rid of your grief. My preference is BoneHead Braid. It comes in several bright colors plus all of the original as well. It's very limp as well.
Tuff Line Super Cast is the other but it's a bigger diameter and stiffer. Either one of these will stop the tip wrap you are having.......Ranger
Thanks for the help fellas, Im thinking low vis green and maybe a little brighter color for rigging poles, Do you guys use braid for rigging, I currently have vicious 10 on but havnt done enough to know anything... LOL
