Thread: Keystone today

I thought I would post an update on Keystone since the CDC tournament was so dismal. Today, I fished the lake from about 930 til 1230 with no catches. Went to lunch and came back and fished Pier 51. Managed to catch 3 keepers and 7 throwbacks. About half and half on jigs and minners. Not much of a report, but better than Keystone has been. May be starting to wake up. WT was 39 in the am and up to 41 about 230.

Charlie's son has been killing them and I have seen the pictures. Had 39 one day last week (2 of them) and 2 baskets full Sunday somewhere over by the marina. Just have to find that spot Merle.......Ranger

Finding the spot is the trick I'm sure. We drove around quite a bit, but couldn't find 'em. Oh well, gotta keep trying I guess. I'm a little discouraged to say the least.

Youngbloodfishin and I had just found a spot holding a ton of fish Saturday over in the keyport area when the wind kicked up to where we couldn't stay in the area. Merle if you're gonna go back out let me know and I'll tell you exactly where we found them and where we saw another boat catching them close by.

Thanks dinobot, I will give you a holler when I head back out. The weather doesnt look good for the rest of the week. I may hit Sahoma later this week, but not real fond of the cold weather they are forecasting!

If you hit Sahoma take some hand tied 1\64th jigs with some pink and you should have fun.

That spot was really good it was a major bummer the wind kicked us out of it or we would a went home with are limit early lol. Even though the wind sucked I still had a blast hittin the water and catchin a few. Thanks dinobot
