I concur. Just because the bite seems to quit, doesn't mean they haven't moved on. Just keep fishin until you find them again. Here on Oologah, during the spawn, you can find decent numbers close to the bank in shallow water early in the morning. The bite seems to stop around 9-10. They have merely gone deeper and change their location. You can still find a few in the shadows that are shallow, but most will move.Quote:

We moved to Eufaula last year and my wife and I fished almost every day at our dock March,April and May during the weekdays we would fish after we got home from work at 5pm and found that the bite was very slow until about an hour or so before dark (7pm ish) and then about an hour after dark (10pm ish) (unless we used lights) then it would slack off but from 7-10pm its was very good fishing. On the weekends we would go down at around 8am and the bite would be good for about an hour or 2 then it would slack off. In the mornings with clear water we could usually see the fish during the bite but when it slowed down we couldn't see the fish and new that they had moved away. Our dock is in about 8-18 ftw give or take. Not sure why the fished moved I mostly figured water temp maybe but thought I'd throw my observation out there.
