    Default new jig


    Tied up some rabbit strip jigs today. The green is 1/4 ounce the orange is 1/8 ounce. I have used these strips on trout streamers with great success in the past.     They look great. Quick question from someone who is just getting into tying jigs. Did you put the stripes on the jigs with a sharpie or did the feathers come like that? If they did may I ask where you got the feathers at? Thanks, Bobo

    Greybeard, I think those are barred honkers. ie rabbit fur cut into strips, they come that way from the supplier (the bar).

    Bobo you can get them at Bass pro in the fly fishing section. There are many different colors in 2 sizes most come "pre barred".
