Oologah Lake

Hey folks, I am new here, so I hope you guys can help me. I am planning on going to Oologah Lake either Monday or Tuesday and im gonna try and fish for crappie and maybe some channel cats. I just wanted to know what kind of lure/bait to use and where to fish. Thanks.

Lake is 9.5' above normal and still rising. As always, the Corp has shut the gates off and will allow Oologah to take on a lot of water while all the other rivers and streams are allowed to drain down. Hard to beat minnows for Crappie but any old jig will score a hit or two. You didn't say whether you're fishing from the bank or a boat. The upper lake is going to be pretty murky due to all the new water, channels cats might be your best bet for a couple of days until the crappie settle down.

Ok guys, I did not go to Oologah today, I went to Claremore Lake. The bite was OK, caught 5 keepers and a bunch of dinks. Sorry no pics
