Default Nitro x5 w/ 90 horse- anyone have advice?

Looking to purchase a used one. Interested to see if anyone had any experience/ input/ draw backs to the boat. Wish the motor was bigger but the one I have my eyes on is only a 90horse.

It looks like its comparable to the Stratos 176XT. There are several videos on youtube, one with a 90hp 2 stroke, says it runs 40mph. There is even a video in SPanish of one with a 50hp Merc 4 stroke. Looks like it runs out fine even wit the 50.

I have the nitro nx750 with a mercury 90 2 stroke. It is basically the same boat. It is a good combo. It is a bit slow to get on top, but not bad. Of course I wish i had a 135, but the 90 gets the job done fine. It tops out at 44.8 GPS with a 21 pitch prop.

I have a 16' Nitrol with a 60 hp Johnson. It's a great little boat that's smooth on the water. It tops out about 36 or 37 mph.

Well i passed on it. I appreciate everyone's input. The boat I was looking at was perfect condition and gorgeous. However, it was on a light duty trailer- after seeing the owner trailer it to the lake, I notice one of the wheel shaking- likely from a bent axle. Lower unit had a sticker on it which lead me to believe it had a replacement. Trolling motor was only 12V. Awesome boat but not for me.

Looking for a Ranger or Champion at this point. 17'6"...150 on it. Anyone? Anyone?

My old RedRum is for sale at Tulsa Boat Sales if anyone wants a great sportsmans boat. Crappie don't run off when they see it...they seem to be attracted to it ))))
