    Default Okie Crappie.Com Classic Tournament

We will be discussing the Classic Tournament Date and Lake as soon as the weigh-in has concluded at the Tenkiller Tournament. If you have Qualified for the CLASSIC you can on this thread nominate a LAKE you would like to fish for the Classic. I am not sure yet how many have quailfied but I think it's somewhere around 10 or so teams. After talking to EB and Odie for those that have qualified it's your tournament so you should be the one's that choose a lake. We will go with a majority rule on this.
Take into account we will have a fish fry and meeting afterwards also to discuss the next years schudule. We want everyone that is interested in our tournaments to come and enjoy the fish fry and have your voice heard in the discussion of the upcoming years schudule.
As far as a date it looks like to me that the 3rd weekend in MAY 18th would be the date since May 11th & 12th is Mothers Day and May 25th is Memorial Holiday. Just my $.02 worth.....Ranger

CLASSIC TOURNAMENT QUALIFIERS PLEASE NOMINATE YOUR LAKE PREFERED FOR CLASSIC TOURNAMENT!!!!!!!!!!!

    one more note:
Anyone member can come and fish the lake choosen for the classic with one exception. You will not need to sign-in nor will you be fishing for any winnings. You will be fishing for the fish fry if you desire. Please come out and support the crappie.com tournament trail.....ranger

one other thing to think about is lake levels due to rain in out area. Do we need an alternate lake choosen as well that we can fall back on if the choosen lake is not fishable....dunno....your thoughts....ranger

I would choose Ft Gibson too but have concerns about high water even in May. If the water is high and the Corps are drawing this lake it SUCKS really bad..excuse my french but I don't know any other way to express how bad it is.
I know Eufaula has been the last place to hold a classic and thats the reason for not naming it although it will fish really good in May. Tenkiller too will and should be still on fire that time of year. Just something for me to hash out I guess..I will go with Charlie and the lake he wants to fish.....Ranger

Ft Gibson 8 1/2' above normal and rising. Per Corps website all gates are closed and they are dumping Grand and Hudson which had a high inflow into Grand with normal level with Hudson being 6" high and dumping as well. Looks like Gibson will be high for sometime. Just sayin you might want to rethink Gibson as a Classic Tournament Lake. I know its early yet with a month to go so who knows......Ranger

What about Oologah? Whisperer is doing well right now. It is slower to warm and I did pretty good there in May a couple of years ago.
