    Default Lake Hudson

Does anyone crappie fish at Lake Hudson? I have never tried them on this lake before but I'm going to be up there next week and plan on fishing pretty hard for a few days. I will be in the Hoot Owl area and as of now I plan to head up into the Grand working the channels and into the mouths of the creeks. There is a lot of water to work for someone who knows very little about the lake. Any pointers are greatly appreciated.

Have never fished Hudson but I would approach it as any other lake. Look for the warmest water even by just a couple of degrees. Work the flat side of the channel from the edge to closer to the banks edge as tbe temps rise. Never pass up a natural point. If they are drawing the lake level down try and find the calmest water available. If the upper end is anything like Ft. Gibson look for natural laydowns in 15' to 20'the DOW....GOOD LUCK....Ranger

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to miss not being on Eufaula but looking forward to the challenge of a new lake.
