I'm sure different lakes and ponds vary due to runoff, creeks and rivers entering, etc. Also I'm sure rain rates play a big part. That said are there any specifics known about our local lakes in that regards? More specifically what kind of rainfall are we needing to fill our lakes back up. Canton is scary empty and will be ruined if it doesn't fill this spring. Saw on the news earlier that some areas from West of Enid to Tulsa could get as much as 3 inches of precip tonight. I doubt snow would help much unless it melts off really fast but it sure cant hurt.

Personally I know that we have had roughly 3" of rain north of tenkiller in the last 30 days. tenkiller has risen 2.5' in that time period. I am surprised how much of a rise we have had with that little rain. You can go to the corps web page and actually see the basins that supply water to the lakes.

We need a 5" to 6" run off rain in tbe OKC area to fill Eufaula. As far as snow to rain equivalent its 1 to 10 on the most part. Now the wetter the snow that goes up. Just hope we don't get that type of rain at one time...Ranger
