I only live a mile from Wes Watkins but don't have a boat. As soon as I get one next year I'll be on it. Heard there are some good crappie in there but bank fishing is tough seeing that it is real shallow along it.

DrNip I go out there by myself quite a bit if you would like to go give me a hollar. I'm always looking to give a ride to someone that likes to fish.

Wes Watkins, I live about 10 miles straight north of the lake (5 miles north of Harrah). I tried Wes Watkins a couple of months ago and all we caught were real small ones at the overflow tower. Went over to some brush ont he south side next to a channel and didnt catch a thing. I had been out there since, the year befor last we did real good on crappie.

Grubby, I was curious what you were catching catfish on?

Reaper Darryl has been doing pretty good I guess I talk to him usually once a week. Don't get to get down there as much as I use to. Work and gas prices keep me at home more LOL!

minnows at the tower 10 ft to 20 ft. Seems like the tree line at the west end of the lake in 8ft of water to as shallow as 5ft. around the stumps. You would think with the water temps the fish would be deeper, but I have went against the norm and tried the shallow water and have found some bigger crappie and the occasional hungry channel cat. This is the first year I have really tried to fish this lake and finding it's not a real easy lake to figure out. I like a challege in the last two years I would go out there and not catch a thing but finally did.
