If your going to a state park they all have first come first serve campsites..but you are taking a chance of getting 1..reservations is the best due to you know ahead of time that you have a spot waiting on you and peace of mind means alot..Sardis is a gr8 lake for crappie fishing..lots of timber and an abundant of fish...not many really big 1's but alot of 10" fish or alil bigger..

Sardis is a corp lake so you will have to make reservations on it. but its well worth the trip down. you can catch crappie on the docks, bridge and towers here and if you have a boat it has some great knooks and crannies to get into for fishing. Beautiful lake sitting in the kiamichi mountains and very peaceful.

if your going to sardis you better reserve a spot. we're thinking about camping at sardis cove memorial weekend. we usually fish that area of the lake.lots of good crappie cover around there.
