Default Fountainhead/ Lake Eufaula Marine Fishing Dock Report 12-9-2010

Fishing is beginning to pick up at the heated fishing dock.

Today was slower than the last two days, which saw some of the regulars limiting out on some nice sized crappie. Plenty of throwbacks this morning, and had 16 keepers today.

Fish were caught on LFT baby shad in chartreuse/pearl, Bobby Garland baby shad in gumdrop, and Bobby Garland Slab Slayr in Junebug/ Chartreuse, at 10' deep. The Bobby Garland baits are the ticket, and be sure and pick some up from Jason at the dock, or from your dealer before heading out..he might run out!!

A fabulous lunch was provided by the Molly Brown cafe, right there at the fishing dock. Jason makes a mean hamburger!!

Head on down and catch some fish. Best $5.00 you'll spend.

We fished this evening for 3 hours and had 3 nice ones, Sissy had 1 that went 1.5lbs. Most of the fish caught were this morning. Depth 8'-12' on dark colors mainly, the 3 good ones we caught came on the Sunperch Slabbandit. Not alot of bites but when they do hit it's very hard thumps.

No, the inside part of the dock (restaurant and inside-heated fishing) closes at night, but Jason leaves the gate on the ramp unlocked so people can come in early or even fish all night on the outside walkway that wraps around the floating building. You'll be able to pay the fee when they open the following morning.

went to check on my lake place two days ago and took time out to see how the fish were biting.....found the lake to be extremely low and not much action....i saw two baskets with about 8 fish in each ond none of them were of any size......don't waste your time going for now....maybe someone will have better news in the next week or so

Never a waste of time going fishing, it's not all about the catching.
