    Default Anyone do any NightStalking?

Just wondering if anyone does any nightstalking. I've never done it with the submersible lights and such. What area's of a lake do you look for when your setting up? what kind of lights/color do you use. Do you use minnows or jigs?

Yes and its a lot of fun. I've used both floating and submersible lights with minnows. Berkley makes a submersible, (don't remember what color I used, seems like it was a light blue and really bright) and it really pulls in the bait fish.

I've always tied up under a bridge when fishing here on Lake Eufaula, but I guess any location would work. One thing I do is to take some hog pellets and throw a couple of scoops in as soon as I get tied up. It seems to help.

Let us know how you do, good luck.

    Stink,

Is there a river channel by that bridge? Just wondering why that area would hold fish so I can find something simular.

    Bait101,

I saw them lights at your shop. I'll swing by and pick one up soon.

I tried once earlier this summer for the first time and didn't do any good. It may have just been bad timing or something. The lights attracted a ton of minnows, but no Crappie. I went back to that same spot the next day and started catching them immediately. I do intend to try it again as I know many people have more success at night.

I really don't know about a river channel, but the spot I fish has always been a pretty good place. One of my fishing buddies in Ada used to bring me over here to fish at this location.

I recommend finding a bridge between two fairly large bodies of water and tryin er out. You might try the deepest area first and then fan out to the other piers to see which location works best.

If you ever get down to this area, let me know and I'll take you to my spot and see if we can catch you a mess of crappie nightfishing.

    Stink,

A offer to fish is the start to a long friendship. I'll see about heading that way sometime and take you up on that offer.
