Dusty, I think he means a floating courtesy dock where you can tie up your boat while you're parking or retrieving your vehicle so you don't have to beach your boat.
They've put so much into that park, I just don't see why they don't add at least one dock, two would be better.
I agree Minnowtime, I'll be sending them a letter as well. If the wind is hard out of the South, I use the East ramp and there are generally a few people fishing at the gravel spot. Then they get all bent out of shape when you beach your boat.
duh, sorry about that. I was thinking ramp for some reason. Anyway, yeah it would be great to have a dock at each ramp. I use both depending on the wind. Like you said, if the wind is out of the south it's tough launching by yourself at the south ramp. Dock would be very nice.
Letter sent!
Never got any kind of reply, hopefully I will show up and have a spot to tie my boat while parking my truck one of these days.
I found the following e-mail address for Mr. Jeff Knack and sent him a e-mail today. After 2 months I did not get a reply to my letter. Also found a phone no. 918-484-5135 will call it Monday. e-mail address [email protected]?Subject=Eufaula Lake Recreation Web Information Request
After a letter, E-mail and 4 phone calls I finely got hold of someone who could talk about our reqest for a courtesy dock at Gentry Creek.
Mr Steve Johnson of the Stigler office said he did not have the money now but has put it on future project list.
So if any of you come in contact with Steve Johnson keep the pressure on!
Thanks for the update Minnowtime!
